What's love got to do with it??

LOVE
A late 'lovey' post. Here are some of the things I love:
Larry: The best husband and my best friend. I fear I rely on him too much.
Children: I have the absolute best. They teach me and support me.
Grandkids: My grandkids provide me with strength to go on at times. (and they are so cute)
Warm weather: Not too hot, not too cold. I love springtime and fall.
Food: A little too much lately as I continue to hang onto unwanted pounds.
Flowers: they make me happy.
A clean house: Something I don't get to experience often.
Son-in-laws: Who treat my daughters with love and respect.
Daughter-in-law: Who is beautiful inside and out. (Brad thinks the world of her)
Rhonda: My sister. She is the best at everything.
Quiet: Sometimes I need it quiet to be able to think.
Quilting: I am not the best but I love to create.
Hot Chocolate: (and my Hot Chocolate mugs)
Tuesday Night: Dinner with just Hannah. I love that girl!
Cincinnati Reds: It is almost time for Spring Training.
Date Night: I love spending time with my hubby and usually other people.
I Love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for my knowledge of Him.

DONE!

This has the possibility of being my longest blog ever.

Try as I may, I can't usually think of anything to blog about and I always forget to take pictures. Thank goodness Bennett is mastering the art of taking pictures of himself. He reminds me so much of James, and this is just another "James" attribute. I gave him a bath tonight and he asked me, "Nana, do you have a p-penis (he always says p before the word penis)?" No, Bennett, I do not! Miles is in the terrible horrible phase of being an 18 month old. He is cute as a button but really hard to watch and naptime is great (so is bedtime).
I got called the the basement the other night to find Maya and Porter working so hard on the party in the doll house. I don't know if you can see the figurines in every room and the cars were all lined up outside the house. That must have been how the figurines got to the party!

I posted a picture the other day of the fabric for the 'new' baby's quilt. I got busy the other day and made this simple quilt. I will quilt it when my friend finishes her quilt that is on my frame now. I think it turned out cute.

AND...... this is for James. He sold his Camry (or Accord, I can't remember) and Brad went to another car auction and bought him a Jeep. Here are the pictures for James to see what his money bought.

It doesn't have car mats so my old Camry mat in in the floor. Leather interior.

From the back. The lift gate doesn't stay up when you open it.

Passenger side door. It has a little rust under the window on the door.

From the front. It has a tow package.

From the side.
Oh CRAP!!! I forgot to take a photo of the stereo slot. I will run out and do that right now, James. I will update this post in a few minutes.

Fabric Stash!!!!

I have been wanting to find a way to organize my fabric stash for sometime now. I have bits and pieces of fabric in drawers, on shelves, here, there, everywhere. So, I mentioned to Larry that I wanted to buy bolts to put fabric on. I priced some on the internet but they were quite expensive. I then ordered some comic book cardboard (someone on the internet recommended it) but that was terrible. Then my hubby brought some stuff home from work and it was perfect. Shelves that use to look like this one above, now look like

THIS!!!!
That is such an improvement. The thing I love most is that I can pull a bolt out and cut off what I need without having to fight the whole length of the fabric. Then, I just pin it back onto the bolt and shelve it. I still have some to do but I am loving it so far.
Amanda is having a baby boy in April and I found this cute fabric and have started a quilt. I love the colors (this picture color isn't totally accurate). It should end up cute and hopefully I can finish it before the baby is born.
